Interesting facts
Forces exerted on testing in endurance tests is 10 times higher than the bathroom industry norm.
Worldwide, GROHE have the most extensive life tests, which ensure long life showers and reliable mixers.
More than 20 different surface tests are completed on GROHE bathroom products, this includes immersion and abrasion tests (whereby products have to undergo up to 60,000 cycles to ensure they do not have significant scratches or tarnishes).
In a challenging mechanical endurance test for single lever mixers GROHE went up against nine products of other renowned international manufacturers. Areas tested included 1. actuation forces, 2. lever play, 3. precision of water adjustment and 4. water tightness.
The result – GROHE Eurodisc was the clear test winner. This success can be attributed to the unique GROHE SilkMove Technology.

Continuous improvement over the last seven decades has seen the Grohe unique plating process refined to produce an immaculate shiny surface that is recognised as one of the best surface finishes in the world.
The chrome finish on all GROHE products is only a fraction of microns thick. However what really matters is whats underneath. GROHE plate sub layers of copper and nickel dependent on the surface to ensure that a totally non porous, perfect surface awaits the chrome layer which is around 500 times thinner than a human hair!
The deep even layered chrome surface creates a luminous and mirror like sheen.

The GROHE TurboStat is the fastest and most accurate shower thermostat available in the world today. GROHE pioneered thermostat technology over half a century ago and we are still leading the way today.
GROHE has increased the sensitivity of the thermo element and re-evaluated the internal waterways. This piece of innovation is due to the internal cooling channel, which creates a barrier between the hot water and the outer surface.
